What Affects the Cost of Your Well
- Well Depth: Agricultural wells generally run 400 to 800 ft, more than double a typical 300 to 400 ft domestic well, because irrigation and livestock systems need higher sustained flow.
- Casing Diameter: Ag wells use 10" to 16" casing versus 6" for most domestic wells. Larger casing means more material and rig time, but it is what delivers the volume a pivot, orchard, or dairy operation needs.
- Geology and Terrain: Rock formations, access roads, and site grading all affect how long the rig is on location.
- Pump System: Submersible or vertical-turbine pumps, controls, and the electrical work to run them are a separate scope from drilling. We handle both, so you are not coordinating two contractors.
- Timeline: Most of our agricultural wells take about 1 to 2 weeks, depending on depth and terrain.
