"Steve Langford, Langford drilling, Dalton and crew were amazing drilling my well. Their knowledge of well drilling was superb. With each step of the process they educated me as to what they were doing and what to expect. Without hesitation I would recommend Langford Drilling."
"Langford Drilling did an amazing job on our well. We had a few bids but I liked the way they listened to what we wanted. Not what the others wanted to do, no exceptions. The others didn't want to do what we wanted, these guys cared. If we decide to drill again we will use Langford Drilling. Also my mom is elderly and was cleaning her pond out and they walked over and offered to help her. That means a lot out here. Thank you guys!"
Frequently Asked Questions
How deep will my well need to be?
Depends on location and the purpose of the well. The average domestic well ranges from 300'-400' with 6" casing. Agricultural wells generally range from 400'-800' with 10"-16" casing. City wells are usually around 1000' in depth with 16"-24" casing.
How long does the drilling take?
We can usually be in and out within 1-2 weeks, but it varies a little from well to well depending on depth and geological conditions.
Do you handle permits?
All permitting is handled by the state. We can get started on your well when you are given a 'Start card' from the state. The process involves: 1) Obtain water rights, 2) Submit an application to the State, 3) When you receive your Start card, give us a call!
What casing do you use?
We use PVC casing or steel, depending on the specific requirements of your well and local conditions.
Can you do pump work too?
Yes! We are licensed to do pump work as well, including installations, repairs, and maintenance.
How many years of experience do you have?
We have over 10 years of drilling experience! With our company, you will get the Licensed Driller on site, hands-on - not just over the phone.
Have you ever drilled a dry well?
No, we haven't! While we cannot guarantee what your volume of water will be when it is done, we can always go deeper if needed if we are not seeing any good signs of water.
What is the payment process?
We will need a half down deposit of your job quote before we can start. The other half is due upon completion. We accept cashier's check or bank transfers (preferred). We can also accept credit cards with an added processing fee.
Do you do water witching (dowsing)?
Yes, we do! This traditional method can help locate potential water sources on your property.
Where are you located?
We are local to Cedar City and have done jobs all across the state of Utah. We primarily serve Iron County, Beaver County, Washington County, Kane County, Garfield County, Piute County, and Wayne County.
